About

Kyoto Trove works to repurpose, re-think, and restore gems of classical Japanese architecture, to feature in new building projects around the world.

Our collection preserves artifacts built from 50 to 400 years ago. We can supply antique Japanese joinery beams, hand-crafted stone garden works, intricate bamboo lattice doors, as well as carefully disassemble and transport entire buildings.

Among our items find authentic aged doors and rare beams, sourced from our nationwide collection. We have exclusive access to deconstruct, relocate, rethink and restore intact gems of Japanese architecture. Our mission is to preserve this heritage by giving it a second life, domestically or internationally.

Our building repository includes small tea houses and grand temple entry ways, traditionally thatched-roofed houses, and sake brewery complexes.

At Kyoto Trove, we believe in restoring the gems of traditional architecture. Many of the buildings are found in remote areas, faced with depopulation and urbanization. The fine artisanship and rare, traditional materials in far-flung regions risk going unappreciated as Japan changes.

Our multilingual, Tokyo-based consultants has access to a nation-wide network of builders and artisans.
